Can I use the ALT system in Saltwater ?

Yes...The ALT Sensors and Hydrophone are Saltwater proof and the Receiver is splash proof. All components should be rinsed with fresh water and dried before storing.

How deep can the ALT Sensor go ?

The ALT Sensor is sealed and rated to a depth of 300 feet.

How much line can I let out and still receive a signal from the ALT Sensor ?

You can let over 100 yards of line out and still receive a consistent depth and temperature signal from the ALT Sensor. If the water is very dirty or if it is fast flowing it could reduce the range of the sensor.

How long can I expect the ALT Sensor battery to last ?

The battery in the ALT Sensor is expected to last well over 3 years and it is very likely to last over 5 years. The ALT Sensor is turned off by placing it in the magnetic case that it comes with... it must be stored in the magnetic case when not in use or the battery life will be shortened.

Can I use the ALT Sensor with a downrigher ?

Yes...Since the ALT Sensor is attached to your fishing line you can fish in any conventional manner; Straight off the boat, flat lines, downrigger, outrigger, planer boards, etc...

You can troll, drift or even still fish...
